The Labour Commissioner, Madhya Pradesh has raised Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) by ₹150 a month for all scheduled employments, effective 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
Khand-A — textiles, apparel and footwear
Khand-A covers three employments added by notification F.4(B)1/2014/A-16 dated 15 January 2025:
Sl. 36(A): any textile and made-ups industry
Sl. 59(A): apparel made from woven, knitted and technical textile fabric
Sl. 73: footwear manufacturing
The minimum wages for these three employments from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027 are as follows (₹).

Khand-B — 67 scheduled employments
Khand-B applies to the 67 employments in Schedules A, B and C. Their basic rates were revised by notification F.4(B)1/2014/A-16 dated 4 March 2024 (MP Extraordinary Gazette No. 68), linked to index 311 and effective 1 April 2024. The 67 employments include construction, engineering, shops and commercial establishments, hotels and restaurants, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, printing, private hospitals, local authorities, and any manufacturing process in a factory not otherwise covered.
