ESIC: Extension of The New Amnesty Scheme, 2025

ESIC Headquarters has extended the New Amnesty Scheme, 2025 by three months — from 01.10.2026 to 31.12.2026 — on the existing terms and conditions.

Key points:

• Background: The scheme was launched via Instructions No. P-11/14/Amnesty Scheme/2023-Rev.II dated 24.07.2025. It provides for withdrawal of criminal cases against Insured Persons and employers, and settlement of cases filed by employers under Sections 75 and 82 of the ESI Act, 1948.
• Original period: 01.10.2025 to 30.09.2026.
• Reason for extension: Representations from various stakeholders seeking more time; approved by the Competent Authority.
• Directions to field offices: Ensure wide publicity (starting with press releases in local dailies) and inform Regional Boards, Local Committees, workers’ unions and employers’ associations to maximise participation.
• Issued by: Ashish Dixit, Asstt. Director (Revenue), digitally signed 27.10.2026; copies to DG’s office, Divisional Heads, PR Branch and website team for uploading.
