The Telangana Government minimum wages notification issued on 30.05.2026 under the Code on Wages, 2019, revising basic minimum wages for establishments in the State with effect from 1 June 2026. It replaces earlier minimum wage notifications under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948,

Unskilled — Work based purely on physical/manual effort; requires no prior experience, independent decision-making, or technical knowledge; examples include labourers, sweepers, agriculture workers, brick makers, ayahs
Semi-Skilled — Work that requires skill gained through on-the-job experience, but performed under supervision of a skilled worker; includes supervision over unskilled workers; examples include assistant plumber, delivery boy, accounts assistant, clerks, pump attendant
Skilled — Work requiring competence acquired through experience or formal apprenticeship/vocational training, calling for initiative and judgment; examples include electricians, mechanics, drivers, accountants, nurses, computer operators, security guards (without arms)
Highly Skilled — Work requiring a high level of perfection gained through intensive technical/professional training or long practical experience; employee must assume full responsibility for judgment; examples include engineers (B.E. and above), doctors, software engineers, scientists, teachers, senior chemists, drone-based pesticide sprayers
