Extension of deadline for pension benefits: EPFO

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced a final deadline for employers to upload wage details related to over 310,000 pending applications for higher pension benefits, extending the date to January 31, 2025.

This decision comes in response to ongoing challenges faced by employers in submitting the necessary information, despite multiple previous extensions. Additionally, employers are required to provide updates or responses in approximately 466,000 cases by January 15, 2025, where further clarification has been requested by the EPFO.
