Andhra Pradesh has notified the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA, also called VDA) payable to employees in scheduled employments from 1 October 2026. The Commissioner of Labour, Vijayawada issued the notification on 28 September 2026 under the Code on Wages, 2019, and it was published the same day in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette Extraordinary.
Every employer in the state paying wages for October 2026 must apply the revised VDA. Because VDA makes up roughly two-thirds of the minimum wage in Andhra Pradesh, missing the revision quickly puts an entire workforce below the statutory floor.

Applicability: 1st October, 2026 to 31st October, 2027
