EPFO: Extension of last date for filing the monthly ECR

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the last date for filing the monthly ECR (Electronic Challan-cum-Return) for the wage month of September 2025 to October 22, 2025, instead of the usual deadline of October 15. This extension is provided in response to difficulties faced by employers as they transition to EPFO’s newly revamped ECR system, which was rolled out for September 2025 filings.
