Haryana Labour Welfare Board Revises Contribution Limits Effective 01.01.2026

The Haryana Labour Welfare Board has issued a fresh notification (No. HLWB/REV/2026/3436, dated 08.05.2026) revising the ceiling on Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) contributions, effective 1st January 2026. This update is relevant for all employers operating in Haryana and directly impacts payroll compliance obligations.

Changes:

Under the earlier notification (Government Notification No. 12/LA/2019/16/3917 dated 22.02.2019), the contribution limit applicable from 01.01.2025 was capped at ₹34 per month per employee.

With effect from 01.01.2026, the revised limit has been increased to ₹35 per month per employee. The contribution structure remains as follows:

• Employee Contribution: 0.2% of salary/wages or any remuneration, subject to a ceiling of ₹35

• Employer Contribution: Twice the amount contributed by the employee (i.e., up to ₹70 per employee per month)
