The West Bengal Commissioner of Commercial Taxes has issued an official order extending the last date for filing returns in Form-III under Section 6 of the West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1979, for the year ending 31st March 2026.

Importantly, any return filed within the above extended dates, with the tax payable having been paid by 30-04-2026, will be treated as filed within the prescribed date — meaning no late fee will be applicable under sub-section (2) of Section 6.
