The Labour department is in-process to implement the revised minimum wages as published by the respective state governments.<\/p>\n

It is advised to ensure the following compliances as per the requisite of the Code on Wages, 2019 & Code on Social Security, 2020:<\/p>\n

\n

    \n
  1. payment of minimum wages as per Employee Category<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in your establishment and also for contractual employees (if any) working with you.<\/li>\n
  2. no bifurcation of Minimum Wages<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of the respective state are allowed under the New wage code.<\/li>\n
  3. distribution of wages slip between 1st<\/sup>\u00a0to 5th<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of every month.<\/li>\n
  4. ensure distribution of payment of salary on or before 7th<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of every month.<\/li>\n
  5. ensure to issue Letter of Appointment<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to each employee<\/li>\n
  6. ensure to process Full & Final within 2 Working days<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from the Last Working day of the employee at the time of employee exit.<\/li>\n
  7. Gratuity may be paid within 30 days<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from day of exit.<\/li>\n
  8. Statutory Bonus may be paid within 8 months<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of closing of Financial Year.<\/li>\n
  9. deduction of EPF contribution on Minimum wages (without bifurcation)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of the state or\u00a0UPTO<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0threshold limit of Wage ceiling i.e. Rs.15,000\/- .<\/li>\n
  10. deduction of ESI contribution on \u201cwages<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/em>\u00a0definition as per the CoSS,2020.<\/li>\n
  11. basic + DA + Retaining Allowance<\/strong>(if any) i.e. applicable Minimum Wages of the respective states, OR<\/li>\n
  12. on \u201cwages\u201d<\/em>\u00a0definition as per the CoSS,2020 i.e.\u00a050% of the total remuneration<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0subject to threshold limit of \u201cwages\u201d<\/em> i.e. Rs.21,000\/- as per the ESIC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
