{"id":2115,"date":"2024-09-10T12:53:11","date_gmt":"2024-09-10T07:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/?p=2115"},"modified":"2024-09-30T12:56:09","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T07:26:09","slug":"amendment-in-tamil-nadu-shops-and-establishments-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/amendment-in-tamil-nadu-shops-and-establishments-rule\/","title":{"rendered":"Amendment in Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Rule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Date of Notification: 2<sup>nd<\/sup> July, 2024<\/p>\n<p>Applicable to entities covered under shops &amp; establishment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application for registration of establishment:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>An application for registration of an establishment shall be made in <strong>Form-Y<\/strong> to the Inspector of the area in which the establishment is located.<\/li>\n<li>Every application shall be made online together with a fee of Rs.100\/- (Rupees one hundred only) through the designated web portal of the Labour Department.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Issue of registration certificate for establishment:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>The Inspector shall issue registration certificate online in<strong> Form-Z within twenty four hours<\/strong> from the time of making of the application under rule 2A.<\/li>\n<li>A Register of establishments shall be maintained by the Inspector in Form-ZA.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Intimation of existing establishments:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The employer of every establishment in existence on the date of commencement of the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2018 shall <strong>furnish online<\/strong>, through the designated web portal of the Labour Department, details of the establishment in <strong>Form ZB<\/strong> to the Inspector of the area in which the establishment is located.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Amendment of Registration Certificate<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>The application for <strong>amendment<\/strong> of a registration certificate shall be made online, through the designated web portal of the Labour Department.<\/li>\n<li>The Inspector shall issue a fresh registration certificate online in <strong>Form-Z within twenty four hours<\/strong> from the time of making of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First-aid Facilities<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>In every establishment, one First-aid box for every 150 persons shall be provided and shall be maintained so as to be readily accessible during all working hours.<\/li>\n<li>The first-aid box shall be distinctively marked with a red cross on a white background and shall contain basic first aid related materials for treating small injuries.<\/li>\n<li>Adequate arrangements shall be made for immediate recoupment of the equipment when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For more details, please find attached the notification:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2162\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon-210x300.png\" alt=\"pdf icon\" width=\"18\" height=\"26\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon-210x300.png 210w, https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon-105x150.png 105w, https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon.png 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 18px) 100vw, 18px\" \/>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Tamil-Nadu-shops-and-establishment-rules-amendments.pdf\">Tamil Nadu shops and establishment rules amendments<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Date of Notification: 2nd July, 2024 Applicable to entities covered under shops &amp; establishment Application for registration of establishment: An application for registration of an establishment shall be made in Form-Y to the Inspector of the area in which the establishment is located.
