

{"id":2025,"date":"2024-08-21T14:56:38","date_gmt":"2024-08-21T09:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/?p=2025"},"modified":"2024-09-30T13:11:40","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T07:41:40","slug":"minimum-rates-of-wages-odisha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/minimum-rates-of-wages-odisha\/","title":{"rendered":"Minimum Rates of Wages \u2013 Odisha"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Date of Notification:<\/strong> 18<sup>th<\/sup> July, 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>The act is applicable to the whole state of Odisha with effect from<\/li>\n<li>The minimum rates of wages are all inclusive rates including the basic rates, the cost-of-living allowances and the cash value of the concessional supply if any of essential commodities.<\/li>\n<li>The daily minimum rates of wages shall be inclusive of wages payable for the weekly day of rest.<\/li>\n<li>The minimum rates of wages are applicable to the employees employed by contractors also.<\/li>\n<li>The minimum rates of wages for disabled persons shall be same as payable to the workers of the appropriate category.<\/li>\n<li>There shall not be any discrimination between male and female workers in the matters of payment of minimum wages in any category of employment.<\/li>\n<li>An adult employee shall work for eight hours per day excluding half an hour of rest.<\/li>\n<li>The revised rates are as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<table width=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"85\">Category<\/td>\n<td width=\"387\">Definition<\/td>\n<td width=\"161\">Minimum Wage (\u20b9)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"85\">Unskilled<\/td>\n<td width=\"387\">Work which involves simple operation requiring little or no skill or experience on the job.<\/td>\n<td width=\"161\">450 per day<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"85\">Semi-skilled<\/td>\n<td width=\"387\">Work which involves some degree of skill or competence acquired through experience on the job and which is capable of being performed under the supervision or guidance of a skilled employee and includes unskilled supervisory work<\/td>\n<td width=\"161\">500 per day<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"85\">Skilled Work<\/td>\n<td width=\"387\">Work which involves skill or competence acquired through experience on the job or through training as an apprentice or in a technical or vocational institute and the performance of which calls for initiative and judgment<\/td>\n<td width=\"161\">550 per day<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"85\">Highly Skilled Work<\/td>\n<td width=\"387\">Work which calls for a high degree of perfection and full competence in the performance of certain tasks, acquired through intensive technical or professional training or practical work experience for long years and also required for workers to assume full responsibility for the judgment or decisions involved in the execution of these tasks<\/td>\n<td width=\"161\">600 per day<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>For more information, please refer to the attachment below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2162\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon-210x300.png\" alt=\"pdf icon\" width=\"18\" height=\"26\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon-210x300.png 210w, https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon-105x150.png 105w, https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/pdf-icon.png 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 18px) 100vw, 18px\" \/> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sgcms.com\/regulatory-updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Odisha-minimum-wage.pdf\">Odisha minimum wage<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Date of Notification: 18th July, 2024 The act is applicable to the whole state of Odisha with effect from The minimum rates of wages are all inclusive rates including the basic rates, the cost-of-living allowances and the cash value of the concessional supply if any of essential commodities.
